Back in college, one of my senior projects was re-designing the muses from Greek mythology. I went for a steampunk aesthetic for Clio, the muse of history, but for YEARS now I’ve thought, “I should have made her Egyptian.”

Egypt has one of the oldest written histories, and so much cool old technology. The Library of Alexandria was dedicated to the muses. I still liked the idea of some steampunk elements, a blending of the the future and the past. So, I did end up keeping some of the elements of the old design. But I am really, really happy with her new design.
