Jack is done! He’s always so fun to draw, and it’s been a minute since I last finished a drawing of him. I’ve been doing a lot of sketches of him lately but this is the first one that really, really cooperated with me. I love Rise of the Guardians so much, it is very much a comfort film for me. I love looking at all the lovely textures and watching the actions of the characters in the background.
I don’t usually draw figures lit from behind, but when he started blending into the moon a bit too much, I figured that was kind of my only option unless I got rid of the moon. I’m so glad I went with casting him in shadow, I think it came out really nicely.
