This past weekend was the art festival over in Henderson. A couple of years ago they started a chalk art competition, and I went for three years before taking some time away from it. This was the first year I came back and the first year I was entered as an adult.
People really seem to enjoy Captain Phantom so I felt like she would be a nice one to use for the competition. I got a lot of really nice comments from the other artists as well as people passing by.
Today was the judging and I walked away with first place in the Adult category, which is pretty awesome. After everything was said and done, I got to talk to the featured artist (and judge), Donovan Fitzgerald, who was very kind. I hope to speak with him more in the future.
