My dearest friend, if you don’t mind, I’d like to join you by your side.
I can’t believe I didn’t post this here, oops, I put it up everywhere else for Valentine’s Day!
I have been working on this Jack and Sally piece for what feels like ages. I’m very happy to finally see it done. I thought it would be cute to show them on a sort of family walk, maybe they’re on their way to some kind of outing. Lunch with Sandy Claws, perhaps.
The background is from a photo I took while walking around the path near my grandparents’ house. Edited the colors and added some trees.
I’ve wanted to do my own interpretation of Zero for a little while and decided to base him off of a basset hound as a sort of tribute to my dog, Dudley, who passed away in December. He was a basset-lab mix and showed me just how silly, stubborn, and wonderful hound dogs can be. Not to mention, bassets have the perfect ears for Zero.
The cat is the same one that sat on Sally’s lap during her song. I’ve decided it’s just her cat now.
Don’t ask me now the leash works, I know it doesn’t make sense, but neither does Zero being able to play fetch.
